Common Questions About Return Addresses
Is a return address required?
While not legally required for domestic mail, a return address is strongly recommended. It allows undeliverable mail to be returned to you and provides identification for the recipient.
What if I don't want to use my home address?
You can use a P.O. box, work address (with permission), or a mail forwarding service. Some people use a trusted friend or family member's address with their permission.
Should I include my name on business mail?
For business mail, include your name and title, or just the company name if sending on behalf of the organization. Personal mail should always include your full name.
